Majolica

A turning point in David’s career came when he chanced upon a Moroccan plate made using the majolica technique. He had no idea how to make majolica so, typically, he decided to teach himself. Majolica describes a tin-glazed pottery that has an opaque and white surface, which can be decorated before firing. As he mastered this process, David’s work exploded with colour.
