Brier Hey is a welcoming and supportive community of 20 established and emerging makers.
All studio members are expected to have sufficient knowledge and experience of working with clay to allow for safe and independent practise. We do not offer any classes from Brier Hey.
Members agree to share their expertise and also accept various responsibilities as a contribution towards the cleaning and running of the pottery. Members enjoy co-learning sessions on a monthly basis.
When membership is full we have a waiting list which a prospective member may be invited to join. An invitation to join may be made following discussion and a review of work plus an appropriate commitment to contribute to the successful running of the pottery.
Members pay a monthly fee and have open access to the Pottery which includes use of all communal facilities plus personal shelf space and a secure locker.
All members are invited to contribute to a communal WhatsApp group where they are able to share advice, information and support.

Co-learning sessions
Every month we hold a session where members can share techniques, work, projects etc. We sometimes ask outside speakers to talk about their work or share their expertise.
